Please Help! I Cannot Decide 😭
Hey everyone! 🌟
I’m reaching out to this wonderful community for some much-needed help. I’ve recently said ‘yes!’ to a beautiful proposal (cue the happy tears! 🥹💍), and now I find myself in a dilemma: I can’t decide on the perfect engagement ring to showcase my newfound love!
I’m torn between a couple of stunning options, and I’d love to get your thoughts and experiences. Have you gone through a similar decision-making process? How did you choose?
Here’s What I’m Considering:
-
Classic Solitaire 💎: There’s something timeless about a simple solitaire. It feels elegant and classic, but is it too traditional? What do you think?
-
Halo Setting ✨: I adore how a halo can make the center stone pop! But does it feel too flashy for everyday wear?
-
Three-Stone Ring 💖: I love the symbolism of the past, present, and future. However, I’m worried it might distract from the center stone itself.
-
Custom Design 🎨: There’s something special about a custom piece that reflects my personality. But what if I regret my choices down the line?
Let’s Talk About It!
I’d love your insights on these styles! What have been your experiences with these types of rings? Did you ultimately feel happy with your choice?
Tips and Advice
-
Gemstone Choices: Should I opt for a classic diamond, or branch out into sapphires, emeralds, or even moissanite? Which has been your favorite?
-
Cuts & Settings: What cut holds its brilliance best in everyday wear? I love a good round cut, but I’ve been eyeing some unique shapes like pear or oval.
-
Setting Durability: How did you choose the setting? Were there some styles you thought looked great but found weren’t as durable?
Show Off Your Bling! 💍
While we’re at it, I’d love to see your engagement rings! Drop a pic if you’re comfortable. Let’s bask in the sparkle together!
I can’t wait to hear the stories behind your rings and any advice you might have for someone who’s feeling a bit overwhelmed yet ecstatic about this journey. Your thoughts could really help me make the best decision!
Thanks so much, everyone! Can’t wait to read your comments. 💖

Last one is definitely my favorite
The thing that concerns me about the first one is it getting caught on things. I love it, but from a practicality perspective, I’d pass on it. Given what you’ve said about your likes and your wedding, I’d have to pick the second one.
4 is my absolute favorite!
2 is giving celestial because of the extra stones, and it being smaller and randomly placed looking like stars
It fits the constellation theme best because of that imo
4!!!
All beautiful, but you should consider wearability of each. 1 and 2 will probably snag on a lot of things (sweaters, hair, blankets etc.).
I personally love the last one!
I like them all but 5 jumps out and made me go wow.
4 is beautiful since it has moon & celestial element on it 🙂

5!!
You should really go to a store and try on similar styles. Having it on your hand vs. seeing a photo are two totally different things.
I like the last one because it’s set in a bezel but with some claw prongs for flair. I think it’s an eye-catching design with the added benefit of being suitable for daily wear.
Some of your other choices risk chipping or breaking due to lack of coverage over the point(s) of the stone. If you decide on one of those designs, I’d strongly recommend you modify it to include the extra prong(s).
5 is my fav!
The last one is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!! Can you share where its from?
5 definitely, 1 is second best but it doesn’t have a prong at the tips and the center stone can get damaged easily. Its less secure.
#5!
Given your cosmic/celestial theme, consider a moissanite. They outsparkle diamonds and the natural stone was discovered in a meteorite.
Half moon shaped stones would work well (as opposed to crescent moon shaped in gold that might catch on things). Charles and Colvard does moissanite set in platinum.
Have you tried them on? One may look particularly good on your hand.
#5 is perfection but personally I am obsesssd with migrain, a bezel with prongs and a tapered shape.
The last one is the only one. The rest are too froufrou and will catch on every sweater, pull your hair and scratch your baby.
I am in love with the last one – it’s somehow both simple but also extremely special looking and it’s something I don’t think could ever go out of style and could definitely turn into an heirloom piece someday because of that.
It also looks like the one that is least likely to snag on anything and the stone is the most secure out of the options as well with the 6 prongs so you’re less likely to run into issues with your stone falling out because of a loose prong since it’s got a lot of backups

The last one!!!! WOW!!

I love elongated hexagons! Just please be weary buying a ring from etsy!!! I’d highly recommend going to a local jeweler to try on different styles and sizes. Most places can source almost any diamond shape and custom make your ring.
1st or last one – both are beautiful
I love 1 and 5 but I think 1 is going to catch on things.
The last one takes one’s breath away!
Last one!!

I think pear cut is so ugly. That last ring is gorgeous and looks a little sturdier than the first one.
5, but 2 is also stunning
4 gives more celestial vibes but 5 is a DREAM. I’m swooning over that one!
#5, HANDS DOWN!!! All of them are beautiful, but 5 is breathtaking.
5!
All are gorgeous but the last one is a jaw dropper
The last one is striking but all of these are gorgeous!
Number five is gorgeous!
I love 5!!!
