I’m a sucker for a plane oval on a blinged out band, so I would personally choose that.
That being said, the halo does suit your hand, so you could pull it off if you do choose to go that route.

They’re both gorgeous! But i think the halo takes a bit away from the solitaire, and i also think the first picture isn’t as good- not showing the ring sparkly as I’m sure it is! Are they the same size ovals. About 2-3 carats? Honestly can’t go wrong with either!!! ♥️

I might post mine eventually but I’m recently engaged and a Harry Winston recipient as well, which I’m incredibly thankful for. The first one looks a lot like my ring so I may be partial to it, but I agree that it looks more timeless and I would have gotten pretty much that exact ring if I wanted an oval diamond. Maybe even that actual ring depending where you shopped. The diamond sticks out to me a lot more on ring one, the halo is kind of distracting from the center diamond and it looks like the center diamond has less visual depth (at least in pictures).
One of the nice things about Harry Winston is the overall construction of the ring is really high quality, so I haven’t experienced any issues with the security of four prongs, any hair snagging, or discomfort with a pave band on mine. So there’s theoretically no need to factor in the downsides of a four pronged solitaire, or there shouldn’t be any way at their price point. I think their pave bands are noticeably smoother than other brands I tried while ring shopping too. My ring feels very comfortable and secure so far the last few months wearing it.
I personally like 1 better, solitaires are timeless. Have you thought about a hidden halo?
