“Pretty Happy, Need Reassurance: A Celebration of Engagement Rings and Community Support”
Hey everyone! š
Iām feeling pretty happy these days, but like many of us, I sometimes find myself needing a little reassurance, especially when it comes to making such a significant investment and choice like an engagement ring. Whether you just got engaged, are currently in the throes of ring shopping, or simply enjoy reviewing the beautiful pieces that symbolize love and commitment, this community can be an amazing source of support!
Show Us Your Sparkle! š
Iād love to kick thingsoff by sharing my own engagement ring. Itās a stunning round cut diamond set in a delicate rose gold band. I remember the moment I saw itāit felt like it sparkled just for me! While Iām over the moon about my ring, I canāt help but occasionally wonder if I made the right choice. Did I pick the best quality? What if I end up liking another style better?
The Beauty of Engagement Rings
Engagement rings carry so much meaning, and they come in endless stylesāfrom classic solitaires to elaborate vintage settings. Some people love the timeless appeal of a diamond, while others might gravitate toward colorful gemstones like sapphires or emeralds. And then there are the different cuts, like princess, cushion, or ovalāall of which can drastically change the character of a ring!
Share Your Stories and Wisdom
I invite you all to share your engagement rings and the stories behind them! What made you choose your design? What was your thought process in selecting the stone, the cut, or the setting? If you’re still in the shopping phase, what factors are weighing on your mind?
Learning Together: Gems, Cuts, and Settings
Letās discuss the ins and outs of engagement rings. Understanding gem quality, the Four Cs (carat, cut, color, clarity), and different settings can be overwhelming. Share your experiences and insights! For example, if you have tips on how to choose a GIA-certified diamond or the difference between a bezel and a prong setting, your knowledge could truly benefit someone on the verge of a purchase.
A Supportive Space
Feeling a bit anxious about your engagement ring choice is totally normal! Whether it’s about your own ring or someone else’s, this is a judgment-free zone where we can support one another. Post your engagement rings, ask for opinions, share a concern, or simply celebrate your journey!
Letās Spark a Vivid Discussion!
So, are you feeling pretty happy about your ring, but need a little reassurance? Struggling with a decision? Or are you just here to drool over beautiful rings? Whatever the reason, your voice matters! Let’s create a vibrant and supportive discussion.
Looking forward to your posts and stories! šāØ

Round prongs are less prone to catching on things. Also they allow the light to reflect better on the stone and give it more sparkle.
It’s beautiful and the setting is perfect.
TBH…I think you need to grow up a bit and trust that the craftsperson who made this stunning piece is the best judge.
Itās absolutely charming
Love it!
Donāt change a thingāitās perfect as is.
What a beautiful ring! I obsessed over getting every little detail right with designing my own ring and in the end, the really small details wonāt be your where your focus goes. I can see how claw prongs would be nice, but the rounded ones arenāt too larger where they stand out. If it does bug you, you can always look into getting it changed.
I would die for this. I got a Costco ring and I met so many people with my same wedding ring as an extra right hand ring. It was not special at all. This is gorgeous.Ā
beautiful. congrats š
literally saving this to my ring inspo board
This ring is perfection
A prong change wonāt be difficult or expensive. Just do it. Itās not a big deal at all.
And PS, people saying the round prongs are more secure are correct – claws can get caught. Just learn how to monitor them for safety.
This ring is amazing. Of course I understand that the rounded prongs weren’t your ideal aesthetic but honestly it’s so refreshing to see someone post a ring and it’s well made and beautiful…
Itās absolutely gorgeous
absolutely stunning
If you donāt love the setting, please feel free to change the ring to your liking. Iām sure your partner would want you to be happy as well.
How did you find pics of it?
I prefer these prongs. But that’s just me.
I love it itās gorgeous!
Itās an overall 10 for me
āØStunning and ElegantāØ
I honestly donāt understand why everyone doesnāt want a cathedral setting. If you donāt want your ring to catch on things it just makes sense, itās geometry.
hardcore lurker on this sub, like i donāt even commentā¦. but commenting to say this is one of the best rings iāve ever seen. so unique and craftsmanship is incredible. i wouldnāt touch a thing if i was you. i like claw prongs sometimes but i think the beaded here look very romantic
I have a similar ring with claw prongs and theyāre always catching on things (tiny threads in fabric, or whatever). I would keep it as is. I didnāt notice the prongs until I read the caption. Beautiful story and beautiful ring!
F-ing hell that is INCREDIBLE!
Personally, Iād live with it for a bit. I like how the prongs really take a back seat to the stove, itās just gorgeous!
You canāt be seriousā¦
Oh my gosh this is gorgeous!
Iād say round prongs are the norm but theyāre easily changed.
This is stunning! Great job!
OMG this ring is to DIE FOR!! Keep those beautiful & very much more secure round prongs on this stunner. Wear this with pride and love in your heart, your man did great!
Stunning!
Donāt change anything! This stone is a beauty.Ā
I love it! I would wear it in a heartbeat. I picked out a oval solitaire with a hidden halo. So that’s what I got. The more I look at yours the more I ask myself if I made the right decision.
As women we will always love sparkling in different ways. I think I need different shapes for different days of the week!
This is exquisite.
Itās sooo beautiful while looking solid too! I love it. Iām not a fan of round prongs and actually love big claw prongs and they would look great on this ring but Iām not sure I would touch it, itās pretty perfect
Bead prongs are very common. I have 3 very high quality rings and that is what is on all of them. My MIL has 2 very large high quality natural diamond rings and they are bead pronged too!
Itās beautiful from every angle!!!!!
Itās gorgeous and the cathedral setting and round prongs are more secure. The craftsmanship is excellent. You should be proud and grateful that he had it custom made this way.
Itās beautiful. Donāt second guess yourself!
Stone is unbelievable
This ring is gorgeous, hand made and just perfect how it is.
It looks properly custom by someone who has a lot of care and experience
What a sweet and romantic gesture paying for the ring to be designed in secret š„¹ itās a stunning ring!
Changing out the prongs can definitely be done, youāll just want to look for somewhere with an in house jeweler. I would ask around about getting them retipped vs reset.
I wouldnāt touch it, the craftsmanship is stunning
I think itās a beautiful ring, and I love how excited and supportive your boyfriend was/is in it. Itās obvious he cares and wants you to love it too. I have no idea about prongs, but that is a beautiful diamond and maybe you can enquire if prongs can be changed whenever you go looking for bands? I think itās lovely
I’ve had a lot of stones set as rings. Claw prongs and round prongs are both common. Take the ring to a jeweler and ask them how hard it would be to alter the prongs.
I love it! I think round prongs are the standard, at least here in the US. And from what I read more secure. (And better looking, in my subjective opinion, which doesnāt mean anything to you š ).
This looks like a beautiful, lush, unique ring. Congrats!
ring size O 1/2, 4 ct, vvs2, D, cushion modified brilliant, lab diamond set with round prongs in a split shank setting with a plain 18k yellow gold band.
