I’m thrilled to share that I’m about to propose, and I couldn’t wait to show off the ring I had custom made for my girlfriend! Take a look at this beauty! ✨
I’ve always known that a ring is more than just a piece of jewelry; it’s a symbol of love, commitment, and shared dreams. So when it came time to design an engagement ring, I wanted it to reflect our unique journey together. Using inspiration photos my girlfriend shared with me over time, I worked with a fantastic jeweler to create something truly special.
What Makes This Ring Unique?

Gemstone Choices: After discussing her preferences, I learned that she loves the vibrant hues of sapphires. So I chose a stunning blue sapphire at the center, surrounded by delicate diamonds.

The Setting: The setting is just as important as the stone! We opted for a vintage-style setting that incorporates intricate details, giving it a timeless feel while staying modern.

Meaningful Details: We added a small engraving inside the band that has significance to our relationship (I can’t divulge too much—I want to keep a bit of the proposal a surprise!).

Yes upgrade the box, it’s useful to have somewhere nice to keep the ring until she is able to purchase travel/storage boxes/pouches etc.
Lovely. I would get a fancier box that also has a slot for her future wedding ring. Personally, I love the antique-style velvet ones.

She loves the oval main stone with pears on the band. It HAS to be a yellow gold setting (glad I asked, I would’ve gone platinum otherwise!) and she didn’t know a hidden halo was even a thing, but I liked them so added that feature. A week or two after approving the CAD for the ring she texted me that she saw some rings with hidden halos and loved them, so it’s a good thing I was a step ahead of her there and didn’t make the wrong choice.
I really think the design took all the positive elements of the inspiration and added a little additional wow factor that she’ll love.

Stunning ring- she will be so excited. Definitely upgrade the box. I have a beautiful wooden box for my ring and it is a bit longer so my engagement ring and band fit in it together side by side. I actually got this box from the jeweler when I got a diamond anniversary band and I wish I had it sooner. It’s great to store my rings for the times when I’ve had to take them off. Plus it just makes it feel more elegant. It’s a high gloss redwood box with an off white soft leather lining. Best wishes and congratulations.

I personally wouldn’t care if my boyfriend used the default box or not, honestly! If you’re worried about the full size box being high profile in a pocket though, you could get one of the slimmer ones 🤗

Gorgeous ring! Personally, I didn’t even notice the box when my husband proposed. I was way too focused on the ring LOL
I take my ring off at night and store it in the box it came in. If the box is good quality and will withstand being handled every day, then it should be fine. But if you think it will wear down too quickly, you might want to upgrade it

Personally I don’t like the boxes with the lights much but I don’t care significantly.
Also worth noting that as someone who already wears rings, I would like a nice ring box, but would want it to hold more than 1 ring in it so it might be a waste to get a ring box that is effectively single-use. Even if she doesn’t wear other rings, if she will want a separate wedding ring eventually she still might like a storage box with capacity for those two at least. So could be a conversation after if you want to get a nice box? Maybe im complicating it too much lol – if I was given a prettier box I would still be happy but also I wouldn’t care much if it’s the standard box that I don’t like so much, since I would want a multi ring storage option anyway
It’s gorgeous! I love all the little side profile details. I do agree you should get her a nice box. My jeweler gave us some nice wood boxes for our custom wedding bands. My husband keeps his band in the wood box, but I had to get a different one so I could keep both of my rings in them. I bought one [like this](https://a.co/d/f98cKEv). I wouldn’t use it for your proposal, but have it handy so that she has somewhere to keep her rings after. 🙂

She won’t care. You did great. The yellow prongs make the diamond look a lot warmer than a E color. But it’s still very pretty.

Absolutely stunning, you did an amazing job and I am sure she will adore it! If the current box doesn’t have a second slot for a wedding ring I would upgrade it, just because you’ll end up having to get one later anyways to store them (I do love the idea of the light in there but it really isn’t necessary lol)
