Are you karma farming? Cos this is gorgeous lol IF she’s not a basic and into colored gemstones and that fairytale elf look 🧝🏻♀️
Does she like color stones?
I’m going to preface this by saying that I think the ring is beautiful. It’s dainty and lovely.
Are you looking at the ring as an investment? If so, natural diamonds are going to be a better investment than lab grown sapphire. Sapphire isn’t as durable as diamond and, if she is active, will be more likely to get scratched and chipped. Lab growns have flooded the market and aren’t holding value any longer. Are you buying this sight unseen or from a jeweler who will guarantee the quality of the stone (go read the fancy blue diamond post and find out what can happen). Is she a lover of colored gems?
As an owner of an Oore ring, she’s gonna love it. I’ve received nothing but compliments from it and I love staring at it every day ❤️
That is one stunning engagement ring, you’ve chosen well. I’m quite sure by now you would know yr GF’s taste in jewellery. You’ve may have a dose of the “nervous Nellie’s” they will settle down once you have the ring & more so, upon proposal (which is another amplifying reason of the “what if’s”). Please let us know when you have popped the question & I hope you post a pic of yr girl’s hand showing the gorgeous ring. Best wishes from Australia 🦘🐨🇦🇺💐
You should ask her.
I love Oore rings, but I wouldn’t want one as my engagement ring. To me, they’re a fancy design I’d like as an occasion/cocktail ring type deal.
What are you looking for help with? Are you asking if it’s a beautiful ring? Yes, it is but it’s also subjective to personal taste.
Why did you pick this one? You must’ve gone off of her tastes in color/style..? If so, then no worries it’s probably just nerves.
If its just something you picked out from browsing the website maybe you could choose 5 rings and have her narrow it down to 3 so you can pick from the 3 ? 🤔
I have a couple Oore rings that I’ve sent to my boyfriend since we’re in the process of looking at rings. Oore is a trustworthy site and has quality pieces. I’ve seen nothing but positive reviews. As for matching bands, Oore sells several bands and has guides on their site for band matching. You can also shoot them an email with any questions, and the owner seems very responsive here on Reddit too.
Some reasons why Oore is on my list:
Quality matches the price, trustworthy seller, unique nature-inspired rings, sells engagement rings with sapphire center stones, has a lot of customization options, has wedding bands that sit flush with many different engagement rings, a US seller (avoids issues with tariffs since I’m in the US too).
I’m not sure how much you’ve both discussed engagement rings, but there’s a few things that are common in all the rings I’ve sent my boyfriend, e.g. light blue sapphire center stone, yellow gold, matching wedding band options that sit flush with the engagement ring. My boyfriend and I have tried on rings together twice too, and we’ve both been sized.
If she hasn’t shared rings she likes with you or if you haven’t really chatted about it, I’d recommend bringing it up casually or going on a mall date and stopping at a jewelry store while you’re there and checking out different rings and get sized.
The ring you chose is beautiful, and if I was a green girly instead of blue, I would love if my boyfriend proposed with that ring! Good luck!
It’s very pretty, but unfortunately we can’t tell you that she’ll like it because we don’t know her and what we like is subjective.
I know you probably want to surprise her, but if you’re concerned maybe this warrants a conversation or including her in the choice before you buy. Or at least make sure they have a good exchange policy.
Ask her best friend
It’s a beautiful ring! I’d be scared shitless to buy a ring too. I’m team talk about the proposal before it happens.
If I were you I’d say to her, “a proposal is coming you don’t get to know when or how. I have a ring picked out. Should I propose with a picture of the ring I incase you wanna pick your own or do you want me to get the one I chose or do you wanna look at rings and pick your own out?
That would be perfect advice for everyone just what I would do
I just got mine Sunday and am over the moon! All the women I’ve shown it to are mesmerized by it!
