Update: My Journey with Size 10.5 Rings – Engagement Ring Joys & Frustrations
Hello, fellow gem enthusiasts!
I’m reaching out to share a recent experience that many of you might relate to – the quest for the perfect engagement ring, particularly when your ring size is a tad on the larger side. For context, my ring size is 10.5, and while I’m excited to explore all the sparkling options out there, my journey has been a mix of delight and disheartening moments.
The Search Begins
As someone who dreams of finding the perfect engagement ring, I initially envisioned browsing through various styles, picking up rings I love, and trying them on. However, the reality has been a bit different. Many jewelers seem to have a limited selection when it comes to larger sizes. This has left me feeling a bit left out as I scroll through beautiful rings posted in this community.
Trying on Rings – The Disheartening Reality
When I finally decided to visit a local jewelry store, I found plenty of styles that caught my eye, but unfortunately, many were either too small or uncomfortable. I could see the potential, but a snug size 10 was simply not going to cut it. It’s disheartening because I want to celebrate this special moment with a ring that I love, and sometimes it feels like the perfect ring is just out of reach.
Community Conversation Starter
This leads me to a discussion I’m eager to spark:
1. Have you faced similar challenges with finding the right ring size? What did you do about it?
2. Do you have tips for custom or resizing options that could accommodate those of us sporting larger sizes?
3. And most importantly – show off your rings! What styles and settings did you choose? I’d love to see creative solutions that worked for you.
Exploring Alternatives
In an attempt to remain hopeful, I’ve been exploring alternatives, like custom designs or shop options that offer a wider selection of larger sizes. I’ve also considered different cuts and settings, noting how they can affect the overall size perception of a ring.
Engagement Ring Foundations
It’s important to remember that the ring doesn’t just symbolize engagement; it’s a representation of love, commitment, and the journey you and your partner are embarking on. So, whether you’re focusing on loose diamonds, vintage settings, or contemporary designs, each story is unique and worth sharing.
Let’s Talk!
I can’t wait to hear your stories and insights. Whether you’ve had a successful ring search or faced similar frustrations, every piece of advice or picture can help others in this community. Let’s support each other in finding and showcasing the rings that represent our love stories!
Happy ring hunting, friends, and may you all find your dream rings—regardless of size! 💍💖
Looking forward to your gems and stories below!

Looks so gorgeous on you!! Congratulations!
As a girl with a ring size of 12, I totally understand! My fiancé found my dream ring, and they had it in my size, thankfully!
Your ring is STUNNING and looks so good on you! Congratulations!!!
The stone looks perfect on your finger! Congratulations 🍾 🫶🏼
It’s absolutely beautiful on you! It’s totally perfect. Loooove the band on it. Would love to see more closeups!!
Absolutely gorgeous- congrats.
Love, a size 8.5 girlie who also had a hard time with shopping
I’m an 8.5 and these chonky fingers did not fit in any rings lol. I was worried that I would get the ring STUCK and it would be a whole thing.
It’s beautiful!! My ring size is a 9.5 so I love seeing other “big hand” girls with pretty rings for inspo :’)
That is beautiful! Congratulations!
Congratulations! Beautiful ring!
It’s absolutely beautiful!!! I love the band details too. Congrats!
Congratulations – you picked a beautiful ring.
10.5 is perfectly normal. Lots of women have that ring size. It’s just the beauty of human variation. That guy from your original post can…well…things I shouldn’t write here. What a jerk. Ignore him. Your hands look lovely.
Why ? It’s gorgeous! Also you get to wear a bigger diamond teehee
Your smile says it all! Congratulations!
As a size 8.25 I had the same difficulties when looking, but Amazon was my savior lol. Still waiting for my proposal, but I’m in no rush. It’ll come when the time is right ❤️
Fellow size 10 girlie here, congratulations! I agree it was a little disheartening to go shopping and they never have anything that fits on your finger, but at the end of the day your ring is beautiful!
So happy for you🩷 Congratulations to an amazing partnership💕
Beautiful! Congratulations! I just saw your initial post – so real. Being nearly 6ft has definitely left me with few options when trying on rings. Yours looks amazing!!
I saved a bunch of pics of what I’m pretty sure is the same Ken and Dana ring recently for inspiration – I’ll be buying from a jeweler who’s local to me, but I love K&D’s stuff and I’ve saved several pics from them while I try to narrow down what I like.
Yours is STUNNING.
The ring is lovely, but I think on your finger you would need a heavier setting with some halo or a filigree surrounding the diamond so that the proportions match the proportions of your finger. I’m not talking necessarily about a bigger diamond just a large setting with a little bit moreonto it maybe some colored stones sapphires or emeralds.
Absolutely beautiful!! I too have big hands and my ring is an 8.5 with a dainty diamond. So glad you got something that not only looks stunning but fits, congratulations!
I’m a size 9 and also just got engaged ~ elongated radiant for the win!! Your ring is beautiful, I love the band!! Congratulations 🥹
