💎 Understanding the Basics
Not everyone is a gemologist, but that doesn’t mean we can’t learn! Let’s break down some common terms:
- Gemstones: Diamonds are classic, but have you considered sapphires, emeralds, or even moissanite? Share your preferences and thoughts!

- Settings: Do you prefer solitaire, halo, or vintage-inspired settings? There’s a myriad of styles to choose from, each offering a different vibe. What’s your favorite?
🎨 Style Inspirations
From minimalist designs to ornate vintage styles, engagement rings come in all shapes and styles. Here’s what we would love to discuss:
- Trends: Are you leaning toward trends like colored stones, intricate filigree, or sustainability through lab-grown diamonds? What catches your eye?
- Design Choices: Do you prefer something classic that will stand the test of time, or are you drawn to modern, avant-garde designs? Share your vision!

This is absolutely gorgeous
My mom’s ring is similar. I love it!
When I purchased one of those in white gold, with Marquise stones, it was sold to me as a “cathedral setting”. Never looked into it, but, I loved it dearly and was devastated when I lost it. Never found one exactly like it since. I haven’t looked that hard, though. Hmmm. Might be something to look into. (I don’t know how to create paragraphs on here, so bear with me) Ok, a quick search turned up this:

which is listed as “Marquise Diamond Band / Vintage Estate Hand Engraved 14K White Gold 1TCW Marquise Diamond Cathedral Pyramid Ring / Wedding Band”. 🙂 I hope this helps
Just this weekend, my aunt gave me a ring just like this that used to belong to my grandma, and I was wondering the same thing. Thank you for posting!
So gorgeous and timeless!!
